These reins feature small pimples in a chevron formation rubber pimples. A very grippy & soft rein. The small bobbles are rounded on the top making them comfortable to hold with or without gloves.

These are the 2nd pair of these reins I have bought, because I loved mine so much, I bought my daughter a pair to complement her ponies beautiful new HJ bridle. The leather, quality and look of all the products is just the best.

I purchased the V-grip rubber reins after riding out a livery horse for his owner and finding them extremely comfortable in my slowly aging hands. I suffer from dupytrens contraction and have a weakening ability to keep a good grip, often finding reins slipping in my fingers. These reins are perfect for me, they’re not too wide or chunky, or too narrow, they’re reasonably soft and very comfortable in my hands and have sufficient grip that they don’t slip. I’m delighted with them! The leather is also of excellent quality and I was immediately able to attach them to my bridle without any struggle with the billets. An excellent excellent product; I’ll be back for further pairs for my other horses!
I have 2 HJ bridles and needed another set of reins as my horse had a small nibble on one set, I was so impressed with HJ products I knew where my 1st place was to look, the leather is beautiful and soft and the reins are comfortable in your hands, reasonably priced and packaged really well

My youngster wasn't happy in his old bridle. Shaking his head alot. After alot of research I decided to bite the bullet and go for a Henry James. Total game changer. Great bridle and great customer service. Would highly recommend.
I had bought previously from HJ and loved the quality of the leather. I treated myself to a new bridle because i loved them so much, a month later our tackroom was broken into and cleaned out. The team (Dan) went above and beyond to help me replace my stolen bridles, I can't thank him and the enough. The bridle arrived beautifully packaged alongside the stirrup leathers . I will be buying again once insurance is sorted and replacement saddles have arrived. I'm eyeing up the T bar dressage leathers
