I am a huge Henry James fan and have bridle, reins and stirrup leathers. Was very excited to get the breastplate martingale. However, for the money I wouldn’t expect to have a long flappy bit of leather because the girth strap was on its shortest hole. It was a shame as the rest fitted perfectly. I will be returning unfortunately
Lovely item as usual! I have to say Thank you to the staff for going over and above with documents requested by Australian Customs so I could actually get my Brand new never used on any horse noseband. 😉This is now a requirement for saddlery leather goods entering Australia. Thanks Again!

I brought the Henry James leather headcollar for my pony (cob size). It's beautiful, the leather is soft and supple. Guiness looked a million dollars in it. Would highly recommend
Stirrup leathers purchased Jan 2025 and not used until summer 2025 very light use, stored in a dry tack room and looked after. Stitching is coming away on leathers along one side and leather peeling back. Customer service not interested as more than 12 months old and purchased from HVS. I would have expected better. It’s a shame as like the look of their bridles but won’t risk the expense if the craftsmanship is this poor
These are amazing! Used today and noticed I managed to keep my thumbs on top without concentrating! Even managed not to loose my reins when my cob yanked me to steal some cow parsley! Game changer for me 🩷
Really disappointed as these leathers do stretch. Would expect better quality for the price.
Very happy with the girth so far, the quality is superb as expected from Henry James Saddlery. The staff were helpful in advising which girth to pick and what size - having just bought my first dressage saddle I had no clue what size I needed but they were spot on with their recommendations.

These are too short even though I ordered XF my hands are on the join which is uncomfortable and not long enough for my horse on a loose rein , they are also so slippery when wet that with or without gloves they are useless definitely not worth even half of the cost, very disappointing
Bought this for my new loan horse who has had the same bridle for years, on our first hack out in this headpiece she is more elevated, lighter on the forehand and walking out really actively, incredible change and I am thrilled that she is so much more comfortable! Lots of space for her super thick mane. Normally in a full but this headpiece was a bit snug so reordered an extra full and fits like a dream!

I received mine today and am disappointed as your need to measure it against your current bridle. I have a youngster whom I need to measure for the first time to ensure I get him the correct size of bridle. So absolutely no use for me, money wasted.
