I’d looked at these for a while before purchasing. Was a bit worried they wouldn’t have enough grip but they’re fine for both schooling and cantering out on hacks, no slipping. They are very light and flexible, and much easier to keep clean than my old reins which had the rubber “bobbles” which trapped the dirt more. The thumb markers are an interesting design and you can count them to ensure your reins are even. Overall pleased with these. Thank you.

Lovely quality leather and simple but clever design details like the buckles having rotating cylinders to make girthing up a bit easier - very useful for my chestnut mare who hates the process! I trawled hoys looking for squishy reins. I had considered HJ but couldn’t commit until I’d seen them in person. Well luckily HJ were at hoys! After looking at all the others I have to say these were the best in quality and feel. Steep price but worth it.

I’m super fussy when it comes to reins! I love the grip of rubber reins but hate the bulkyness. These reins are perfect, they are not bulky to hold and the grip is amazing, even in the rain.
