I’ve had this brown and about 8 months now. I like to wait to review. You don’t know how good or bad a purchase is until you use it.
The service was good and I need to change size and this wasn’t a problem, the delivery from ordering to receiving was fair, bespoke product so took a little more time.
Lovely soft quality and cleans well.
But… there is a bit I’m afraid! The claps that hold the crystals in are quite sharp and pull on my native ponies forelock, it gets caught up. Plus a few the crystals have fallen out. I think this is because the hair from the forelock gets caught.
So it’s now part of an every work bridle and hubby has altered the claps to help with the hair catching situation. The crystals that have fallen out make it look tatty. I wouldn’t buy this again. I do love the other bridle work by Henry James.
These reins exceeded my expectations. The leather quality is excellent and the craftsmanship is top notch. Great value! The rubber thump grips are just enough to help secure your hand placement without being bulky or uncomfortable.
This is my favorite type of crown. I’ve purchased several of them for my horses and they have lasted a long time, fit beautifully, and offer great padding for sensitive horses. Highly recommend! I find they fit true to size.
I have purchased several reins but always find that when the horse gets sweaty or it is raining they have always slipped.
But I can safely say with this weather they have been trialled and I am super happy! Will be purchasing another set for my other boy! Thank you so much.
