I was worried about the width of the noseband - 2 inches sounds like a lot! But it looks perfect on my horse when joined to the rest of his Henry James bridle. He is large though - a 17.2hh Irish Draught - so it may be a bit thick for smaller or finer faces. The quality is flawless, as ever with Henry James products. I'm delighted! Let's hope the show judges will think so too :)
Having owned many different brands of bridle, including Fairfax, Stubben, Jeffries and Albion, I honestly think that Henry James bridle work cannot be beaten on design, comfort for the horse and quality. In this instance, I had a spare Henry James noseband and cheekpieces, and bought this headpiece to make up another bridle. This particular headpiece is my favourite in the Henry James range, as it is so comfortable for the horse, fits beautifully due to the ergonomic design and of course you get that lovely Henry James quality, and the leather is robust, yet soft enough.
Bought on recommendation as I have quite arthritic hands. Definitely give me much better grip than more traditional reins with stops that I was using
I had bought previously from HJ and loved the quality of the leather. I treated myself to a new bridle because i loved them so much, a month later our tackroom was broken into and cleaned out. The team (Dan) went above and beyond to help me replace my stolen bridles, I can't thank him and the enough. The bridle arrived beautifully packaged alongside the stirrup leathers . I will be buying again once insurance is sorted and replacement saddles have arrived. I'm eyeing up the T bar dressage leathers
It's a 10 star review from me. Highly recommended the quality, service and sensible price tags.
Thank you HJ
